Quandry is indeed an apt word to describe the decision to go P.O.D. or not. I published through iUniverse and was pretty satisified with the service and the end product. I've had moderate to good sales and some great reviews, however the stigma attached to P.O.D. books tends to stifle one's hope for success.

It appears that most of the people against P.O.D. books are the ones who still benefit from the traditional publishing model, but with the way the industry itself is evolving that same model may soon find itself outdated.
